Debbie's
Facing the historic stone-wall alley of Changdeokgung Palace in Seoul, an old hanok house built in the 1960s has been renovated to introduce Debbie’s, a brunch restaurant. This traditional hanok structure, comprising two floors designed for residential purposes, embraces the desire to preserve the traces of time while fulfilling the client’s wish to offer homemade French cuisine, reminiscent of meals cooked by a mother, distinct from typical commercial restaurants, creating a comfortable and warm atmosphere.
Retaining the wooden panel walls, which were popular at that time, each room showcases vibrant painted walls and custom-made sofas as seating arrangements. Unlike the ground floor, ascending the narrow wooden staircase leads to the ornate antique chandeliers welcoming guests on the second floor.
Each room offers views of Changdeokgung Palace's gardens through large windows, resembling picturesque paintings, allowing guests to appreciate the changing colors of nature throughout the four seasons. Wrapped with antique frames, reminiscent of traditional Korean homes, the doorway threshold of each room exudes a splendid ambiance upon entry.
